2020 Reflection
As 2020 draws to an end, we are reflecting on what an unprecedented year it’s been. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by COVID-19 and wish to express our sincere thanks to all the front line workers around the world for their tireless efforts fighting this pandemic.
This year businesses were challenged to navigate uncharted territory, as was Right Sized Inventory (RSI). We witnessed the harsh reality of an evaporating sales pipeline, client attrition, and cash flow concerns when infections began to spike . As with most businesses, we urgently needed to pivot our business strategy to align with the “new normal” or face potential dire consequences. We quickly streamlined our cost structure, eliminated up front start-up fees, and realigned our pricing bands to align with the new market demands.
Fortunately for RSI, roughly three months after the initial wave of the virus we experienced a surge in demand for inventory optimization. The reason? Many companies were compelled to identify tied up working capital or where they were at risk of stock outs. This urgent need from businesses around the world, combined with RSI’s expansion of our reseller network, strategic consulting relationships, and technology partnerships, played in our favor allowing us to realize growth during a crazy year no one could have predicted.
At RSI we believe in purposeful reflection of each year's accomplishments and failures to help us better focus on both personal and business priorities. With respect to business, our 2020 accomplishments outweighed our failures and we are humbled by our situation. We certainly are aware that many businesses were not as fortunate and our thoughts go out to those companies who unfortunately had to close their doors.
